Poinsettia Petals Christmas cards

Wow!! First Christmas cards of 2020! Well, I couldn’t resist – I’ve just received my pre-order from the 2020 Mini “Handmade for You” catalogue and there are some beautiful new crafting products.

When I saw this suite I knew it was going to be lovely. There is designer series paper, stamps and dies, as well as lovely velum with white flocking specialty paper, ribbon and embellishments too!

Here is my first card, “Merry Christmas” is a lovely universal sentiment and a nice size for cardmaking. I’ve die cut the flower (actually these are modified leaves on the real plant) in red velvet paper and this gives a lovely texture to the leaves. The colours used here are Real red and Old Olive with gold accent to finish it nicely.

Poinsettia place suite

In my second card I have also used the poinsettia dies, this time cutting out Real red cardstock and using clear Wink of Stella on the red leaves to add glitter. I’ve layered a piece of dsp from the suite with some vellum to difuse the colours, added the sentiment and some of the lovely soft organza ribbon.

Here is a little sneak peek at this suite of products, available to everyone from 4th August on the Stampin’ Up! website (https://www.stampinup.com.au/)

I hope you are getting some time to relax and craft, let me know if I can help at all, I hold monthly classes near Brisbane, Australia and have a Facebook page here!

Positive Thoughts & wishes card

I recently needed to send positive thoughts & love to friends far away. People we would love to see but due to covis-19 restrictions, just can’t get there at the moment😥

So here is my card, I just love this stamp set & co-ordinating dies that work for so many occasions.

I looked on Pinterest for inspiration, something I do regularly :), & found this lovely layout. A few tweeks with placement & colour & it’s done!

The inside of the card is also important & I wanted to let them know we wished we could be there for them! Still plenty of room for me to write my thoughts as well.

I used a recent a download of quarantine-inspired sentiments for the inside!

I’ve used these colours in this card: Crumb cake, Gorgeous grape, Highland heather, Just jade & a retired colour (that I loved) called Baked brown sugar.

You can recreate this card and even give it your own spin if you like 🙂

And it has arrived – the new 2020-21 Annual Catalogue!!!!

Hi Everyone,

Both the new annual catalogue and the new Stampin’ Up! website are live!!

New Website look

Here is a screenshot of the new online shop for Stampin’ Up! It is more functional (& prettier!!) and way easier to get around and find what you’d like to look at. You can even add me “Angela Allen” as your demonstrator in Australia if that suits you!!

I thought I would post a few projects over coming weeks, made with some of the new crafting products in this catalogue so you can get a closer look at them.

First up, I’ve used the stamp set Jar of Flowers with the bundled punch (10% discount with a bundle) that punches out the jar for this card. I’ve stamped in memento black ink (best with alcohol markers) and then coloured the beautiful flowers with my Stampin’ Up! Blends.  Just for some more interest in the flowers, I stamped some more sunflowers out on white cardstock, coloured them and fussy cut them. Then I adhered just a few onto of the original image on the cardfront. Makes them more life-like I think!

I’ve then stamped the jar stamp onto some clear vellum and punched it out with the matching punch a layered that over the stamp of the flower stems. I’ve used the colours; so saffron, daffodil delight, old olive, mossy meadow, soft suede and highland heather in the colouring. The cute little sentiment is from the stamp set “Lovely You” (click the title to see what it looks like).

This bundle is part of a larger suite of products all about flowers!! Its called, “Flowers for every season” (item no: 154132) You can purchase all the different products in the suite individually, although it’s worth knowing that the bundles are 10% discount of the price of separate items!!

Here’s the link to purchase a paper copy of the annual catalogue – but remember with any $50 purchase I will give you a copy for free!!

Here’s another link, this time to download the pdf of the new  catalogue:20200603_AC_en_SP

Painted Poppies – a special card for a special person!!

Today I am featuring a lovely bundle of crafting products.  It is part of new suite called Peaceful Poppies which includes a stamp set full of beautiful images and sentiments, more co-ordinating dies, beautiful papers, ribbon, sequins & printed vellum elements.

Peaceful Poppies suite

One of my good friends, Suzanne has left our shores to go home. We met through Stampin’ Up! and she was a much loved part of my Indigostampin team, as well as a great friend and will be missed. So I wanted to make her a special farewell card & decided to use this suite.

Here’s my card:

I wanted really vivid colours for these poppies so I used 3 colours from the Pigment Sprinkles (Daffodil Delight and Mango Melody and a small amount of Melon Mambo) on watercolour paper for the petals. It’s easy, just wet your watercolour paper & sprinkle on your desired colours. Let the water do the work! Let it dry & then die cut. Such strong beautiful colours!

I also used a small piece of the designer series paper (those green vertical lines) and a piece of whisper white cardstock, run though my die cutter with a Subtle embossing folder. I then flicked some green and gold ink onto the white paper to get the splotchy effect.

There are dies in the bundle that cut the gold foil outlines to these flowers, as well as the layered leaves and flower centres. Very striking & easy to construct! The possibilities are endless in terms of the colour and texture you can create.

This die set is called Poppy moments and is part of the Peaceful moments bundle that includes the dies and stamp set. Remember if you like to stamp and die cut your images, it is worth buying co-ordinating sets together as you receive a 10% discount on them.

Here is an image of the other bundle within this suite. I love these images as well as the detailed dies for labels and subtle backgrounds.

Don’t forget SALE-A-BRATION is current running (Jan – March) and that means for every $90 you spend on any Stampin’ Up! products you get your choice of FREE  crafting products. There are stamps, dies, embossing folders, designer series paper and more!!!

Here is a PDF for you of the current rewards:20200103_SAB20-1_en-SP

The other great offer on while Sale-a-bration in current is the Joining special. Becoming a demonstrator is already the best special in our catalogue (with 20% off everything and other benefits) , but at the moment it’s even better!

Recruits who join Stampin’ Up! as an independent Stampin’ Up! demonstrator between 3 January–31 March 2020 will receive the Mini Paper Cutter, 6″ x 6″ Designer Series Paper sampler and their choice of stamp set. That means for $169 you get:

  • $235 worth of product of your choice (that’s $66 free!!)
  • Free shipping (10% saving)
  • Plus you become part of the Indigostampers!!

I hope you have enjoyed this card and have a go at being crafty today. Why not try out this beautiful suite?? Below you will find links to all the products in my online store.

Let me know if you have any questions, I’d love to hear from you,
